Ghd body guard heat protect spray

After years of daily hair straightening my hair is in pretty bad condition, with a lot of frizz and split ends. Due to my hair being pretty oily (thank you hormones!) I have always been nervous to use my extra product in my hair, but this year I’m determined to get my hair in better condition so the first thing I bought was some heat protection spray.

I did a bit of research ( by research I mean reading all of the views on Amazon) and as I have used GHD straighteners for years, I know and trust the brand, so I thought I would try the GHD bodyguard heat protect spray.

This is a water based formula and can be used in either towel dried hair or dry hair. I have been using it on dry hair before straightening it and have been really impressed so far. I layer my hair into sections, as I would do normally when straightening it, then apply a small amount of spray in each section. You don’t need very much and I have definitely noticed a difference in the amount of frizz and how soft my hair feels after using it. I think it helps keep my hair straighter for longer and I really love the smell too.

If you are looking for a heat defence spray I would definitely recommend this one. It is a bit more on the pricey side but I haven’t tried out any of the more affordable brands. If you have any recommendations for me to try please do share them.
